WELCOME TO HISTORY IN FIREARMS

The mission of History in Firearms is to provide a resource for you to learn about the individual history of different firearms. If these rifles could talk, they would each have their own individual stories. Since they can’t, we have to rely on things such as markings that may be present, like manufacturer, acceptance, and arsenal marks. There are several case studies done here that provide pictures and descriptions of markings. At the bottom of each page are resources that may provide useful in identifying marks on your firearm.
